Handcarved by expert craftsmen in Ecuador, these lightweight balsa wood parrots add a charming and exotic accent. The tall piece includes two different birds facing different directions; 19"h x 8"w, birds are 9" and 9.5", stand is 14" x 4"d, 4.25" diameter. This piece is signed "Prostituta de la selva," with a tag that reads "In the Amazon Jungle of Ecuador, Indians carve and paint the balsa wood bird with watercolors. There are no two birds exactly alike. This work of art will give any home the look of the tropics." The base has an interesting knot at the back bottom. The shorter parrot is 10"h, 4" base with a 3" diameter. Both pieces are in excellent pre-owned condition with some random marks that in NO WAY affect the appeal of these wonderful tropical birds!
